We have been making slow clothes for close to forty years. For us, this means opening up the process to include hand spinners, hand weavers, natural dyers, block printers, embroiderers ... all the artisans who are left behind in the rush to mass produce clothing.
From time to time we indulge in incredibly slow and small projects. We call these our “passion projects”. This is the case for these two garments - the Manali Pant and the Botanical Coat. We have woven only 50 metres of handspun local wool and beautiful Belgian flax linen for the pant. We then felted the fabric to give it a bouncy, slubby, rustic feel. We have paired this with hand spun, handwoven, naturally dyed heavy cotton for the jacket.
To our U.S. customers – don't forget that the exchange rate works in your favour, it's like an extra discount.
